HeART for Haiti Benefit This Friday

Art has a big heart in Wayne County, and a remarkable group of local artists and community leaders are coming together to host the HeART for Haiti benefit. Scheduled for Friday evening, February 12 from 6 to 8 pm at the Wayne Center for the Arts, HeART for Haiti will feature wine and hors d’oeuvres donated by local restaurants and retailers, music and both live and silent auctions. Proceeds will benefit the Save the Children Haitian Relief Program.

WAGE earth walk exhibition

More than 20 local artists are participating in the Wayne County Group Effort - WAGE annual show that will fill the galleries of Wayne Center from Jan. 14, 2010 to Feb. 19. This year’s theme is Earth Walk, and the works displayed include glass, clay, watercolors, oil-paint, metal, and fabric media.

Youth ages third grade through High School Seniors living in Wayne and Holmes Counties are invited to send in photos for a chance to win a digital camera and other great prizes, and to have their image displayed at the Wayne Center for the Arts and the 2010 Ohio State Fair. click for more info
